The Whole Woman Approach
Posture and pelvic-health focused Pilates, taught by a certified team in St Ives.
ABOUT LISA
Our founder Lisa Simpkinson knows this work from the inside. A former dancer with over 22 years of Pilates experience, she came through her own chronic pain and pelvic issues, and that led her to the Whole Woman approach, a method developed by Christine Kent. Lisa was the first in the world to train in it, and she brought it into how Village Pilates teaches. Her own story is why the studio takes this side of movement seriously.
THE WHOLE WOMAN
APPROACH
The Whole Woman approach is about guiding the body back to its natural balance and ease. Developed with women’s health in mind, it helps everyone. By gently encouraging natural posture and relaxed breathing, it changes how you move and how you feel. Good alignment lets the organs sit naturally, and easy, deep breathing leaves the whole system feeling lighter.
Lisa and the team weave it into every class, with small, thoughtful adjustments to traditional Pilates that focus on alignment, core strength and a real connection to the breath. It is Pilates with intent, taught by people certified in the method.
